Google Doodle of the Day: Google’s latest animated doodle — which has already gone live for some — pays tribute to the legendary Freddie Mercury, who would have turned 65 tomorrow (September 5th) had he not been forced to prematurely depart.

Nancy Ajram - Enta Eih / نانسى عجرم - إنت إيه

what are you (how cruel are you) Is it not enough
That you hurt me? Have pity. How cruel are you?
Why my love, is it so easy for you to bring me to tears
And why do I accept that you hurt me when my soul is part of you
And why am I accepting this torment at your hands?

If this is love, my misery is from it
And if I am to blame, I cannot say never again
And if it is my lot to live in torment I shall live in torment

Have you no pity? Have you no shame that you cheat me knowing the love I have for you
Is it not a shame, the passion and the years and longing that I am living for you?
Was the love lost completely? Or has it been a game
Was the love and tenderness and my heart and faith in you all lost?

If this is love, my misery is from it
And if I am to blame, I cannot say never again
And if it is my lot to live in torment
I shall live in torment

Had the most amazing first date :)))))

I’m on such an amazing fucking high right now :]]]] It’s legit so hard for me to put it into words. I’ve had such bad luck with boys that I honestly thought this coffee/tea date would just be like a meet and greet and he’d end up being a douchebag or super ugly or socially awkward or idunno. I had plans afterwards and told myself that I would give it two hours.

We met, went to get a cold drink at starbucks in Le Village (since it was a CRAZY hot day out today). Then we went on the terrasse and talked for a bunch of time (conversation went really well). So we moved location, walked to the big park up the hill. Chilled there. Changed location for a bit (went onto the grass) and then walked some more for me to realise like over 3hours had passed!! And I had legit planned to be on the bus at the point so that I could eat at home and then meet up with my friend later.

So since everything was going amazing he had asked if I wanted to go eat or if I needed to leave. So I said fuck it and we went to go eat (I ended up paying and he was so cute when he tried to refuse :P). But then he said he’d pay for desert, so we went to go walk to Places des Arts to get some Dairy Queen (and omg he’d never had any before!!!!). Then we ate, talked, walked back to his car. And this had gotten much later into the evening. He’d asked me if i needed to go home or if I had other plans for the evening (I had already texted my friend to postpone our plans for earlier) so I told him that I didn’t really have any.

So he asked me if I wanted to see a movie to relax from all the walking. And I of course said yes! We watched The Green Lantern (which was suprisingly not terrible!! XD). Then instead of taking the metro back to the village we walked the whole way back. And now this was past midnight and I was legit pretty beat but he asked what I felt like doing and I was like I dunno it’s getting late, but I still felt like seeing him so I said how bout we go on the terrasse on the roof of SKY (one of the big gay clubs) since he’s never been. And then we chatted there for bit but we went in when it started raining. Which was great because we started dancing which was super nice and sweet and awesome.

Then walked outside with a rain falling on us and we were cuddling together while walking to his car. And he drove me home :) he fucking drove me home and was amazing and my day was amazing and I’m in such an amazing mood.

My two hour coffee thing turned into a 13 hour best first date of my life!! :]]

"If it is passed by voters, a local ballot measure in San Francisco will in effect make circumcision of babies illegal in that city."

A federal law and various state equivalents ban female circumcision, whether performed as a religious rite or not. “Intactivists” are asking why the cutting of a baby boy’s foreskin should be any different. (via theeconomist)

So, this page caught my eye when I was reading People Magazine. This couple right here is Allen and Violet Large. Allen is 75 and Violet 78. They met in 1964. Ever since 1983, they have purchased two lottery tickets every week. Last year, Violet called the lottery hotline to check out the winning numbers, and it turns out they won — $11.2 million dollars. Guess what they did with it? They donated it all to doctors, their own country, and family, keeping none for themselves.
They said they are content with their ‘87 Dodge Diplomat Suburban and their 148-year-old Victorian home.
Here’s a quote from Violet near the end:
”Money can’t buy happiness.”
”We have everything we need; I have Allen and he has me.”

I hope to be like them.

i dont think i could ever give it all away.. but this story did touch me real hard <3

Just watch it. I don’t care what you’re doing. If you’re listening to music, turn it off. If you’re talking to someone, shut up. Just watch it.
